Dreams Do Come True . . .

While I was waiting to adopt my daughter Mandy from Vietnam in 1998, I used to go outside every night and gaze at the moon, wishing that it could send her a message, to tell her that I loved her and would be coming for her soon. Well, the moon must have passed on that message, because from the day we met when she was 23 months old, she was fascinated with the moon! When she was little, we spent many hours looking at the moon together, telling it our hopes and dreams. In 2007, when Mandy was 11, a second dream came true, and 10 yr old Amy Huong (also from Vietnam), joined our family.

I began Mandy's Moon in 1999, when I realized how few products existed which depicted Asian children or single parent families, so I decided to create my own! I started out with 5 designs of handmade clay Christmas ornaments featuring kids from Vietnam and China. They were an instant hit, and I couldn't keep up with making them. I expanded to offering printed products...invitations, T-shirts, personalized Christmas ornaments, adoption and birth announcements, kids party invitations, and more. All our designs are available with children or families of all races and types. All of the designs on our site are created by myself, my Mom (from whom I inherited my creativity!), and Mandy, who is now 15 and incredibly talented in Photoshop!

In addition to my own designs I also carry hard to find Asian dolls and other multicultural dolls and cultural items that fit our theme of celebrating diversity. I love creating and adding new products, and suggestions are always welcome!

I love communicating with my customers and celebrating all of our unique and special families.

My girls are 14 and 15 now, growing up so fast! Being self employed has given me the flexibility to be there for them after school which I never could have had if I was still working at a full time outside job. I am the luckiest Mom in the world, and I appreciate all my wonderful customers who have made it possible. THANK YOU!
